The Nobunaga Wall, or Nobunaga-Bei, is a centuries-old earthen wall located within Atsuta Shrine in Nagoya. It was built by the warlord Oda Nobunaga in 1560 as an offering of gratitude after his victory in the Battle of Okehazama, which he attributed to divine favor received during his prayers at the shrine. The wall is constructed using traditional materials like earth, quicklime, oil, and roof tiles, and is considered one of Japanfs three most important historical walls.
