In this talk, we plan to provide a thorough review of the research project of DOTSTAR (Dropwindsonde Observations for Typhoon Surveillance near the Taiwan Region) and the scientific advances made through the remarkable international research collaborations among Taiwan, Japan and USA, including T-PARC, ITOP, T-PARCII, and beyond.
